Dear Board Members and Supporters,
We would like to share the extraordinary news with you about We Do It together bringing Gender Parity to Davos and receiving the "Goodwill Champions: The Wave Makers" award.
Our founder, Chiara Tilesi, was invited at the Betazone session "Female Icon" of the World Economic Forum in Davos, where on January 22nd, she gave a speech on the need to disrupt the current paradigm, and how women's narrative must change to achieve gender parity.
She was elected at the World Economic Forum, as a Cultural Leader along with Bono, WDIT Honorary Board Member's Haifaa Al-Mansour, Marin Alsop, Will.I.Am, and Sir David Attenborough amongst others, to thrust more inclusive and sustainable change. Davos has been an excellent platform to showcase the urgent problem of Gender Disparity, also in media and entertainment, and especially to find and propose solutions to change the paradigm and the storytelling.
During the World Economic Forum, WDIT has also been honored with the "Goodwill Champions: The Wave Makers" award, at the HCL social awards night on January 24th in Davos. It has been an honor for us to receive this award and talk about WDIT's mission. Our WDIT Honorary Board member Haifaa Al-Mansour has been awarded the Crystal Award at the opening Night of the World Economic Forum. As you know, We Do It Together has concluded 2018 strongly, with the start of our international campaign "Be The Subject Not The Object", portraying as the first subject Beatrice Fihn (Nobel Prize 2017 for the campaign ICAN). The campaign's trailer has been officially screened during the World Economic Forum in Davos, gaining incredible attention and feedback. Here is the official trailer:
More great news to share with you soon, please stay tuned. We would like to thank you once again for your continuous support, and if you would like to be more involved with We Do It Together, please get in touch with us.
Kind regards, WDIT TEAM
