'Tell It Like a Woman' has been a very long journey, almost six years producing this film, and We Do It Together is very happy to announce the completion of the film with the final segment, 'Pepcy & Kim,' directed by Academy Award Nominee Taraji P. Henson, starring Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson and Pauletta Washington. 'Pepcy & Kim' is written by Catherine Hardwicke. It has been an honor to close the film with this segment, inspired by the true story of Kim Carter, founder of the non-profit The Time For Change Foundation.
Kim Carter, named one of CNN's Heroes, is an incredible inspiration for her work in helping women and children across the United States to make the transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Kim's story, in 'Pepcy & Kim' has been a wonderful addition to 'Tell It Like a Woman' - a film by women - about women - for everyone.
It has been the perfect close to the film's production process, with the immense talents of Henson, Hudson, and Washington, joining our amazing roster of filmmakers and actresses already attached to 'Tell It Like a Woman,' including Cara Delevingne, Catherine Hardwicke, Marcia Gay Harden, Jasmine Luv, Margherita Buy, Maria Sole Tognazzi, Eva Longoria, Lucía Puenzo, Leena Yadav, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anjali Lama, Anne Watanabe, and Mipo O.
